A MATTER OF CHOICE

100 Words on Saturday - Write Tribe

The sun shone brightly as I walked down the street recalling notes for my interview. That's when I heard the screech of wheels and yelping.  Pedestrians including me, turned to see a dog hit by a car, struggling in pain. Cars sped by. People moved on. I was getting late. I turned away as I heard that cry again. I ran back, picked her up, hailed a rickshaw, and rushed her to the blue cross.

Hours later,  as I sat holding her paw, she opened her eyes and looked into mine.  What I felt was exquisite. I felt truly alive.

    Ditching the interview to rescue the dog shows how much you care for animals. No wonder you felt truly alive when she looked into your eyes!

      :) i would have to say that i have several times stopped to help animals and am a member of the blue cross...but the interview was a part of the story. thanks for reading :)
